Disaster Mortgage Protection
In the event of a disaster, this unique coverage provides financial support by making the mortgagee’s monthly mortgage payment if their home becomes unlivable. Customers are now acutely aware that disasters can indeed strike anytime and anywhere so adequate protection is necessary. DMP was designed to supplement the basic homeowner’s policy and provide added comfort to the customer by: 1. Ensuring the mortgage payments are made for up to 2 years if the home becomes uninhabitable for more than 48 hours.
2. Helping to pay the mortgage balance should the home become permanently uninhabitable up to a maximum of $100,000.
3. Reinbursing the primary property insurance policy deductible up to $500. The home need not be unlivable but the loss must be to the home and peril related.
